Simply Remos...

Today was the big concert of Antonis Remos and Onirama in the football stadium of Kimi. Before that I went swimming to the beach of Metochi which is 20 km away from Kimi and only reachable by cars with 4 wheel drive. You can imagine what kind of roads I passed. I took with me my surfboard but the wind was very calm and I could have left the board home.
After returning home I got ready for the concert. Look at the pictures and see one of the greatest singers in Greece. After the concert my friends and I went for some drinks at the famous Riri's bar, also known as "to magazi einai kyrile".

Surfing Time...

Today it was time to get in the wind and surf...I woke up at 8:30 am because the famous greek "Meltemi"-winds are calming down in the afternoon. When I found all my equipment I went to Limanaki-Beach with my little nephew. The wind was not very strong, but it was OK for the start. Check out the pictures. I finished at 2 pm with wounds in my hands.

Tini & Vlacho on tour...

Finally my nephew Tini and I left cold and rainy Germany for the paradise of Greece. After the most beautiful days I've had in Bad Oeynhausen I left for the city of Bühl where my brother lives to pick up my nephew Konstantin (11).

We left Bühl at 3:30 am in the morning for the port of Ancona. But after 5 km we met the first traffic jam and thought we'll never arrive. The same scenario at the Gotthard-tunnel. Finally there were no bigger traffic jams (except the usual at Bologna, Italy) and we arrived at the port of Ancona at 2:30 p.m.
Tini was really excited and despite sleeping only for 2 hours the night before he was awake until we finally slept in the ship at 9 p.m.
We arrived at Igoumenitsa, Greece at 8 a.m. in the morning and drove with full speed towards the paradise of Kimi, Greece.
We reached our destination at 3:30 p.m. and went immediately to the beach...

4 weeks of great vacations are waiting for us...

Only 7 days left...

...to leave cold and rainy Germany for the paradise of Paralia Kymis. Watch the view from my terrace to understand.
Many things happened in the last few months, but nothing severe. The only thing that counts now is 4 weeks of summer vacations. I also plan a trip to Mykonos with my best friends:

Eintracht - FCBäh 1-0....

Once again my friend Luci and I had a remarkable weekend in Frankfurt. After reaching Frankfurt on Friday we went into town to drink just one cocktail (until 3 o'clock) in the Helium Bar with our friends Lanni, Vera, Hendrik and Anke and finally Maria. But the best was yet to come on the next day. We met with my cousin George and went to Wagner's and began preparing for the big game Eintracht against Bayern Munich with tons of Äppelwoi!
At 3 o'clock we reached tha stadium that was sold out with 51.500 people. When we saw Eintracht's starting formation our feelings were difficult to describe. Every player that is able to play defensive was in the starting lineup. And so the game went on. Bayern trying to break our defence but with no ideas at all. Eintracht on the other side with not many, but some very sharp counterattacks. And then came the 78th minute....
Christoph Preuß scored with a fantastic bicycle kick and the Waldstadion exploded! The team held the win until the end and the party began.
SGE-FCBäh Preuß scores
After the game Wagner's was against the place to be. Happy people everywhere and tons of Äppelwoi again. After that we met our friends Lanni and Hendrik again and went to a greek tavern with live music to end the night in the metal bar "the cave". The result of the night: Äppelwoi, greek wine, beer and no voice at all! Even on Sunday I could only communicate with gestures, but that was worth it.

Oh my god...not again

It was Friday, weekend was about to begin and Eintracht Frankfurt was trying once again to gain 3 points in the German Bundesliga. Luci and I were waiting for tis game and connected online to our friend Christian L. from Frankfurt who is a Nürnberg-supporter. Eintracht scored twice to lead 2-0 until the 80th minute. Then an owngoal from Spycher brought Nürnberg back into the game and Vittek equalized in 87th. So for the fourth time in this season Eintracht lost 2 point after a 2-1 lead in an away game (Istanbul, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and now Nürnberg). We hope that this will not be payed later. Next week its Eintracht against Bayern in Frankfurt. I will be there and post my report here. Of course yesterday dissapointment was big. Look at the screenshot my friend Christian from Frankfurt made after the 2-2 equalizer:

ΚΑΛΟ ΚΑΛΟΚΑΙΡΙ

89 Minutes were played in the big derby of Greece. Olympiakos tried somehow to score, but the defence was holding tight. Then Dimitris Salpiggidis stole the ball from the greatest greek defender ever George Anatolakis and served the winning goal for Dimitris Papadopoulos. 0-1 and the funeral at Karaiskakis Stadium took place. I immediately opened a bottle of whiskey and enjoyed the impressions from this great win with my friend Vangelis L. Many phone calls to friends and relatives have been made to exchange the best wishes for our team. Now my Olympiakos friends...win the championship, but you will never be happy about this title when you have lost 2 times against us. The future is ours.........

Welcome - the mother of all derbys

who

Welcome to my blog. My life consists of sports, party and a little bit of work. Be a part of it.
Today is a big day. It's derby-time in Greece. I just returned from a trip to my brother in Bühl and I'm trying to recover somehow from the loads of beer and wodka we drank yesterday.
So the TV is on now and I can't wait to see the kickoff and see my team Panathinaikos kicking some gavros-ass!
For someone who knows about football in Greece he knows that the result of today's battle will determine my summer vacation in Greece!
So, ΓΑΜΗΣΤΕ, ΤΟΝ ΠΟΥΣΤΗ, ΤΟΝ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟ!!!!!
